More than a decade has passed since the United Nations 2000 Manifesto for Peace
was signed initiating an international decade dedicated to a culture of peace for
all children. The Manifesto, written by a coalition of
Nobel Peace Prize Laureates, and signed worldwide, invoked six principles:

Reject violence
Share with others
Listen to understand
Preserve the planet
Rediscover solidarity
