North Point Mill is situated on 23 acres of forested land in the Chesapeake Bay watershed. We feel it is critical to preserve the natural forest structure, which includes standing and fallen dead trees; and to protect wildlife and their habitats. Therefore, only those trees that fall across our access road in storms are used in the making of our wood products. Others are left where they fall to provide food and shelter for animals and birds. Live trees are never cut.
